At the very heart of The Village at Corte Madera, “Community”, our magnificent water sculpture delights and honors the generous community of Marin County supporting special education. Created by famed designer Archie Held (Archie and his wife, Janet, are parents and long-time DSE stalwarts), the four pillars represent the alliance between educators, family, community and business, and rise gracefully together in support of children with special needs.
The base of the sculpture is engraved with hundreds of personal messages and tributes donated since its dedication in 2005. We invite you to participate in this community project by purchasing an engraving. Honor your child, grandchild, friend, educator in a meaningful way. Memorials and in honor of outstanding individuals are welcome. For questions or to inquire about the Fountain Engravings program, please email:  sculpture@specialed.org.
