Dedication to Special Education is an all-volunteer parent organization committed to improving special education in Marin County. Dedication to Special Education is a community partnership in every way: parents, educators, and community coming together to benefit all children with special needs in the schools. We operate under the financial auspices of the Marin County Office of Education, qualifying as a tax-exempt public agency under IRS section 170(c)(1). While the Marin County Office of Education is our fiscal sponsor, we decide where the money goes.

Since 1997 we have raised over $2 million for our programs in Marin County. We created and continue to fund the Technology Resource Center of Marin, and have invested over $400,000 directly in the classrooms through our Grants to Special Educators Program.

Our success is dependent upon community partnership, and we strive to maintain and develop long-term relationships with our families, schools, and local businesses.
